Join us on February 6, at 12 pm, for a one-hour Lunch & Learn featuring Chief Matt Pasco of the Oregon Jack Creek Band and the Nlaka’pamux Nation.
Chief Pasco will speak about the quA-ymn Solar Facility, B.C.’s first grid-scale solar project, built on reclaimed mine lands in the Southern Interior. The project represents over a decade of persistence, Indigenous leadership, and partnership to bring renewable energy onto the provincial grid. Following his presentation, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and explore what this project can teach us about Indigenous-led climate solutions, energy sovereignty, and collaboration in shared territories.
