| Where do you live? | In BC |
| If you live in BC, which region? | Vancouver Island/Coastal |
| Why are you interested in serving on the WE-CAN board? | I was the co-founder of WE-CAN in 2021, and I have worked with WE-CAN for the past four years to build its potential, serving as co-chair, newsletter editor, and Team Leader on several working teams. I would like to serve for another two-year term, so that I can continue to provide leadership and initiative, and help craft WE-CAN into the organization that it needs to become. The climate crisis is a gradually-gathering storm that is will have enormously negative impacts, unless - in hand with millions of climate activists around the world - we can achieve a rapid transition to a green, clean economy and a far better world, leaving no-one behind. I have a deep, lifelong commitment to serve the unfolding of beauty and love, in gratitude for the beauty and love that life on Earth offers us. My service for WE-CAN is one way in which I do this. |
| Tell us about your experience in the climate movement or with environmental justice work. | I have many years of experience in the climate movement, starting in the 1990s with my work as chair of the City of Victoria's environment advisory committee, and then writing Stormy Weather: 101 Solutions to Global Climate Change, which was published in 2000. In 1996 I founded the Victoria Car-Share Cooperative (now Modo), and in 2004 I founded th BC Sustainable Energy Association, both of which are still going strong. In 2011, I published The Climate Challenge: 101 Solutions to Global Warming. I have given hundreds of talks, spoken to MPs in Ottawa, and written a detailed plan for climate progress across Canada. |
| What skills, perspectives, or lived experiences would you bring to the board? | As well as my climate skills, I bring relationship skills. We are all volunteers, and caring for each other must be paramount. To achieve this, we start every WE-CAN team and board meeting with a social circle when we ask each other "How are you doing? What's up in your life?" I want our relationships as volunteers to bring us warmth and joy, as we go about our work. |

|
| Are you currently affiliated with a WE-CAN member organization? |

| If yes, which one? | President of the Yellow Point Ecological Society |

|
| Do you have any access needs or supports that would help you fully participate on the board? | No |
