Fireweed Learning Commons is an educational non-profit bringing community-centred learning experiences to folks on Southern Vancouver Island. We hold workshops and gatherings where people can: Explore new ways of thinking about our human place in the world. Learn about the living world around us. Practice having good conversations about tough issues. Connect with others who care about the same things. And learn what climate actions make the biggest difference.
Our education programs work toward three big shifts for our human future:
1. Relationality: Remembering we’re not separate from but part of an intricate web of life that is all connected: people, land, waters, and future generations.
2. Regenerative Living: Choosing ways of living that give back, as part of healing and restoring the web of life.
3. Learning Commons: Creating community spaces where everyone can teach, learn, and take action together, growing stronger community connections.
